I don't know if my phone works

So I just got an iPhone 6 from a friend. It has a broken screen, and from the looks of it, it may have a broken display as well. I have plugged it in to multiple chargers to see if it would show any signs of life. No vibration when I plugged it in, none when I held the power button, and none other than that. I plugged it multiple computers with multiple cords, and they did not recognize that something was plugged in at all. I don't know how to find out if it works so I know if it's worth trying to fix or not.

I think not worth.

It's the easiest for me to get, and I've found replacement screens for $25 so I just need to know if that's the only repair necessary, if it'll take much more than I'll pass on it, but if that's it then I'll do it

If you got a dead battery it won't connect to iTunes or show any sign of life sometimes.

If you have tools to open the phone up, open it and remove the plate for the battery contact and unplug det battery from the motherboard. Then plug in the charger and see if it goes to the Apple logo. If so, the battery is bad and would need an replacement to.

A tips is to check with imei number first so it dosent have find my iPhone activated (if your friend can't fix so it gets signed out)

And if apple logo does not appear with battery unplugged and charger plugged in then it's either a bad Tristar charging chip or micro soldering work needs to be done on it (if a known good charged battery has been tried on there).

Battery could just be flat. Leave it plugged in charger for at least half an hour then plug into computer and open up iTunes to see if it detects it.

Thanks for that suggestion, I've had it plugged in all day, and I just plugged it into the computer, but no response from itunes

Hello,

Just a screen replacement won't do it. But save the phone maybe you find like a 10€ screen in the future and replace it then.
