MacBook Pro 13’’ Keyboard problem

I poured some liquid over near the trackpad and keyboard, water. After a few minutes the keyboard has stopped working, only the power button works. What could have happened? I tested the USB ports and the trackpad, they work normally.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

You drowned your system! You'll likely need to replace the keyboard and trackpad. But before we worry about them time is ticking here! The longer you let your system stew the more damage! You need to open the system up disconnect the battery and if you don't have the time or skills keep the system as cool as you can (above freezing).

If you can take the logic board out and blot off as mush of the liquid as you can. If you spilled plain water then use 85% isopropyl alcohol to wipe down the parts.

If you spilled a drink then you'll need to use distilled water to clean the parts first then the isopropyl alcohol. once you've got the rest of the system cleaned you'll need to replace the keyboard and trackpad as they are often to far gone. You might also need to replace the battery too.
