iPhone 6 not powering on, LCD and battery work

I bought an iPhone 6 on eBay with the intent of repairing it. I have checked the LCD and the battery on another iPhone 6 and have confirmed that they are both working. I have also replaced the lightning port/speaker connector/headphone jack flex cable, but the phone still does not power on. Any advice?

It's hard to say, depends on the issue that made the iPhone malfunction in the first place.

I've had problems with motherboards on the iPhone 6 and newer series, where people would try to turn the phone on before assembling the phone back together. By that I mean missing screws before the assembly, witch fried the motherboard and caused the iPhone's not to turn on, or to be stuck in a bootloop.

Missing screws isn't the issue here, it would not cause the motherboard to short circuit.

Actually, it would.

Maybe the previous owner played with the assembly and shorted something.
