What to do with circuit glued to hard drive when replacing drive
There is a circuit glued to the old hard drive that does not exist on the replacement hard drive. do I reglue to the new drive or discard?

Of course it needs to be attached to the hard drive to monitor heat, but don't put tape in between the sensor and the drive. Place it on the hard drive so that it makes good contact and using electrical tape, tape it into place. Here's what I use: Electrical Tape in 6 Assorted Colors

Tape should work fine on it. If it is not connected the fans will run constantly at high speed when the machine is on.
