cant get to bios

ok when i power on my toshiba satalite it shows the toshiba logo then screan turns black with a pasword comand promped in the uper left hand corner. i got may laptop at a yard sale so i have no password to get to bioss. how can i over ride this password.

terri ward what exact model is your Toshiba. Just a warning ahead of time, Toshiba is even more paranoid than Apple. So, information about anything coming from that company is very difficult to obtain.

its a Toshiba Satalite A45-S120

The Dell could be a power supply issue or a CPU issue. Depends on what you have checked.

i tryd takeing battery out and leveing it plugd in then powering it up it dit the same thing

@oldturkey03, I don't see what a Dell Power supply or CPU has in relation to a Toshiba BIOS password lock.
