Stuck in recover mode/itunes can't restore

Help! My iphone 6s suddenly crashed when using youtube, out of the blue. No software update done or anything like that, it just crashed. I wanted to restore it using itunes, but it can't be done, itunes is stuck in 'controlling iphone' phase. Everything I tried failed, and all those third party restore software costs a lot of money and I don't know if this can solve my problem. I also can't exit recovery mode, but it does charge, I can enter DFU etc... I just can't restore it using iphone. I visited an apple store and they said it had to be repaired, but because of a small crack in my screen this would cost a lot of money, because they would need to repair the screen too.. And I'm not kidding, the problem occurred when my iphone was 2 weeks out of warranty.

I hope someone can help me :)

Answer this question I have this problem too

If you get an iTunes restore error when attempting to restore, which error code is it?

It sounds like it's going to be either -1, -9, -4013.

Hi Ben, thanks for helping. There's no restore error. I have the dutch version of iTunes and when I'm trying to repair my iphone using itunes it downloads the newest software (11.2) and begins the repair process, but it never really starts and keeps loading. On itunes it says that the status of the process is 'herstel van iphone controleren', which means, roughly translated 'controlling iphone repair' and it never changes, this can go on for hours. I don't get an error message. I haven't also jailbreaked my iphone or done anything that could have harmed the device.

Have you tried another charging cable and USB port on your computer to rule out them causing the issue?

Also login to your Apple account on https://www.icloud.com and see if your photos and other information was backed up there. If the phone is non-recoverable, you may be able to save your data in that fashion.

Did you test an hard restart after the crash?

Often when a iPhone crashes from nowhere they only need an hard restart to kind of removing fault codes to work again. Power button and home button at the same time.

If you did test that try a restore by 3uTools as said above
