Is it possible to internally fix the deathgrip?

Hi everyone !

I've been thinking to something for a while and I need opinions about a possible way to fix the antenna issue.

Many websites recommand tips such as nail polish to isolate antenna. I've also read many sites which claim that an internal solution would be possible.

So I thought... Maybe it would be possible to isolate antenna from the inside, by putting some nail polish inside the phone itself.

I have no idea if that kind of thing would work or even if it would be dangerous for the components, but there is a tutorial on this site which explains how to change the wifi antenna, so removing it is doable.

But what about this idea? Where would I need to put nail polish?

Anthony, I am not sure how well the nail polish trick would work, if it does so at all. I beleive that if it would be an easy fix than Apple would not have taken as much heat as they did about "antenna gate" and would have given out free bumper cases. So I think the best fix at this time would be a bumper case instead of nailpolish. Ok, I can tell you still want to try it :-) somewhere I have heard that the deathgrip was more common to right-handed people. So try and see which area is covered more by your right hand than your left. Hi,

Thanks for answering, I've looked into the link. In fact, I have to admit that I don't want to risk such trick without being sure of what I'm doing (I'm not sure how would react a Genius in an Apple Store if Nail polish leaked from my iPhone!).

I alreay use a bumper to hide that problem, but it's just by curiosity ! =)

I'm gonna continue to search for similar idea/experimentation.
