Phone turns on, but doesnt boot up to the lock screen

I recently replaced my Iphone screen. when I tried to turn it on, it wouldnt work until i plugged it into the lightning port, where it then showed the apple logo perfectly fine but after 1-2 seconds later, it would go to a black screen. The thing was still on, as the backlight was still on, but there was no display, even though the display worked fine from the apple logo. Anyone know whats going on?

EDIT: Battery cant charge, ive left it for 2 hours and wont charge. Ive already tried a hard reset.

The phone is getting stuck in DFU mode (recovery mode) you can confirm this via plugging the phone into computer and opening up 3Utools (Windows application you can download from 3u.com) or iTunes.

Did you turn the phone off and unplug the battery prior to the screen replacement?

Have you made sure you put the screws in the right screw holes for the 5 screws that hold down the metal plate cover over the screen connectors on the top right of the logic board?

Have you tried to force restart the device? Press and hold the wake button and home button until the Apple logo appears on the screen.
