New glass lifting where the cables sit

Hi all. I have never had this problem with other models of iPad, but I keep having problems with the new digitiser lifting around the area where the cables sit. I have tried different things like poking the cables in just before closing that side, I’ve used small clamps to hold for 2 days and it still lifts! I’ve removed the pre installed adhesive and used strong Tesa tape instead.

I’ve tried new screens from different manufacturers and I still have the same results.

What can I be doing so wrong?!

Any tips would be appreciated.

Thanks

Try using B7000 liquid glue, you may have better luck with that.

Thanks. Do you use that with the double sided adhesive, or remove that and use the glue instead of? Also, how does it affect removing the screen in the future should it need another repair?

With the adhesive, that glue is mallable so It's not like super glue it's fairly easy to remove if you don't use too much in a spot.

You can rub off the excess with your hands easily. Takes like an hour or more for it to set in.

Ok thanks I’ll give that a try. It’s a little strange to me though as surely you shouldn’t need glue?! I’ve ordered myself a tube of the glue so I’ll see how I get on
