iPhone 3G is dead. The power button is damaged

Hi,

My iPhone is dead. It suddenly went off and I can't charge it anymore. Since my iPhone's power button was already damaged I couldn't do the trick of holding down the power button and home button simultaneously to bring it to life.

Is there any fix for this problem?

You could try doing a reset by holding down the home button and then plugging it into the USB cable plugged into your computer. That might turn it back on. You will have to restore your iphone when you do that though so if you don't have it backed up don't try that.

You can try resetting it by holding down the home button and THEN plugging it into the computer. It will come up in iTunes as being in DFU mode and will ask if you would like to restore it. You'll have to restore it and should be able to use the last time you backed it up to put all of your stuff back on it.
