My iPhone screen is dark but seen under a bright light

I dropped my phone from 2ft onto the floor and the screen went black but I could hear it locking and unlocking so I knew it was working, so I hard reset it and it started working fine again. Then overnight it went dark again and I had to hard reset it again when I woke up, and then I set my phone down on a table and when I picked it up it was dark again. This time when I hard reset it the screen just flashed white. Since then my phone screen is so dark and the only way I can see anything is with a flashlight. I've done a full reset of the phone, and the touch is working. I can answer calls and do everything I normally do on my phone as long as I'm using a flashlight to brighten the screen. The phone is in perfect condition, there's absolutely no physical damage to it and I have never dropped it in water. I have dropped the phone here and there but always with a case on it so there has never been any physical damage. Can anybody tell me what's wrong with my phone because I've tried taking it to stores in India and they say either the screen needs to be replaced or the whole phone, but my phone is worki as normal just the backlight seems to be gone. Please I'm desperately hoping that the max is that I have to replace the screen which is expensive in India but almost half the price in Dubai which is doable.

Hi

If you see image but very dark, with hardly any light, the problem is backlight. It can be repaired, but you will need a welding technician.

In this model, I think it's the same as the Iphone 6 / 6s. It is usually a burned filter, with change it would be solved. It is not useful to change the screen, the problem is on the motherboard.

If you do not have technicians in your area, here we have very good! You know well Aiden.

I could consult with some and ask for a quote. It is usually a "easy" repair on the motherboard. If it comes out more expensive than buying a new iphone, it will play change it.

Would this just require me to get my screen replaced? Or do I have to get my whole phone replaced for 29000 rupees like the store is saying? I could buy a new iPhone 7 for the much money if so

I saw that in the us it's only $149 for the screen replacement, it's 576.50 dhs in Dubai and 17000rs in India, since Dubai is the easiest for me right now I'm trying to find a way to get it there and back ASAP, and the prices in rupees were quoted to me by the apple certified stores in India since there aren't any real Apple stores here

Apple does not sell their parts though. they only do the repairs themselves.

Exactly, that's why I'm not going to an outside shop to get it fixed I know Apple won't touch it if I do that and they don't put original Apple displays on the phone outside. There are Apple stores in Dubai that can repair my phone, but would it just be a screen replacement or do I have to exchange the whole phone?
