Home Button not position properly

I replaced the screen that came without a home button and when I went to attach the older one I used loctite to attach to the new screen. needless to say i did not correctly get it centered and the home button does not work properly.

I did try offsetting the bracket with the two screws to center the switch under the home button using on screw. Now it works properly and can i make a small hole in the mount and screw the bracket on or should i glue it?

Otherwise everything is working great.

Thank you,

Bill Haymaker

I would glue it...making holes is usually a recipe for disaster. iFixit also sell a handy jig for placing the button bracket properly. You can find it here.

is it too late for using the jig since i have already glued the mount to the glass?

If you can not take it off the frame, yes
