Everything was fine until yesterday. Google play store icon is there but will not open. Some apps wont open says it needs google play services. When I go to play store on my laptop it looks like google play services is already installed on my phone (cant't pick it on dropdown list).
Is this a good question?

Settings --> Applications --> Google Play Services
• Force Stop
• Clear Cache
• Clear Data
• Uninstall updates
Settings --> Applications --> Google Play
• Force Stop
• Clear Cache

• Uninstall updates
Reboot the phone.
If you don't see the Google Play icon, look for Android Market.
Once you launch it, it will start to download the latest update.

when i go to apps on phone - google play services does not show up. when i go to google play on laptop it says google play services is already installed on my tablet and the phone icon (AT&T ZTE) shows but is not able to click on.
In that case, backup your information.
Then perform a factory reset.
Settings --> Storage and back up --> Reset to factory
Also happened to my mom's phone. No google play services at all so not even the play store app woud start. Had to reset to factory virgin sally.
