The phone fell on the ground and wont turn on

So, some months ago i was using my iphone 5s when it fell flat on the screen. It never turned on scince, luckly i got a new (used) 5s and i left the old one forgotten in a box. Now i found it and i feel like i want to fix it, so, any ideas? Also, the upper part of the screen separated from the phone. Not completely, but enough to create a gap. I've already opened up the phone but cant find any broken or disconnected connectors. I'm not in a hurry to fix this phone, i just want to see it working again. Thanks.

It's a pretty safe bet that the screen has to be replaced. You can find the repair guide here. Take a look to see if you are comfortable doing this yourself.

However, there's no guarantee that this will solve all of the problems. Unfortunately, troubleshooting a phone requires replacement parts and that costs money. You could try to use parts from your replacement phone to help you isolate your problem so you don't buy parts for nothing. However that also exposes you to the risk of damaging the phone and having two broken phones. The repairs are straightforward but the phone components are delicate and can break easily. Take your time and be gentle :>).

You're probably right, it's weird the fact that the screen completely died and didn't kept showing anything. Im not gonna waste my time on it anymore. I didn't need this Phone at all, but at least i now got a parts Phone for my working one :). Thank for the answer!
