Alpine 3DE-7886R cartridge stuck within unit, cannot remove?

unable to remove the 3 CD cartridge from the head unit, have found an instruction manual on alpine uk's website.

It advises how to remove catridge manually by a inserting a special card, which i do not have.

Use a piece of thin strong plastic , I used the page separator from my diary , cut a strip about 30 mm wide , cut a piece out of one end startng about 15mm up one side of the strip approx 10MM deep , this leave a hooked effect at one end;

Slide this under the cassette and manouvere it towards the left until you get resistance hook onto this whilst still manouvering left until you hear /feela click , pull that cassette sucker out.

I found that the cassette was faulty, it would load and play two and three discs bit No one would play but it couldn't re-load it into the cassette , went error, then wouldn;t eject , it's qiute tricky to get the CD out as you have to extract the cassette with the tool described above and grab the CD all while the &%!@ thing is opening and closing
