My detergent compartment doesn’t click shut. How can I fix that?

Options

Start with the obvious, look for any soap buildup around the door. Clean the dispenser with hot water to disolve any soap buildup. It is possible that the door release button is jammed. Use an old toothbrush to clear any buildup of soap in the dispenser.
