my powerbook g4 went to sleep and never woke up
This morning my g4 was working great and went back to use it and it would not start. I can a faint noise when I press the power button.
Help!!!

Try to boot from your install disk, to an external display, into target disk mode, or from a bootable hard drive; any one of those would help with troubleshooting and can rule out some components. If you can boot fine to an external display, it's something wrong with your display, if you can boot from the install disk or into target disk mode and check your drive, then your drive is fine.

Also, try removing the extended memory, battery, and Airport, and boot off AC power. Also try resetting the PMU while in this state (connect to AC, and hold the power button in for about 10 seconds).
