Why am I unable to open my outlook files?

hello everyone

I updated my system to high sierra an hour ago. Since then, i am unable to open up my outlook. checking it through my folders, i can see all my mails still there. Mine is outlook 15.34. i was googling out and found outlook for mac is getting unsupportive on high sierra. shouldn't have updated the OS.

mac description has already been mentioned.

please do suggest something worthy. how am i going to do my work now?

hi alfred,

i tried searching out it for you and ended up finding that 15.34 is supposedly not supporting on high sierra. you can upgrade it to 15.38 may be.

but before that, you need to rebuild your database. did you try to hit the rebuild option in your outlook?

confirm us if that works.

thanks for your instant reply. even i had found someone suggesting to rebuild outlook in google. it didn't work for me. however i have found that mac does support two outlooks at a time. may be i shall download the latest one. lets see if that works.

i found a thread here: Outlook Mac rebuild fails and crashing everytime

the situation is different but the funtion is actually the same- rebuilding your outlook.

maybe this would work out for you.

it says it extracts the database of your outlook mac. maybe you shall give it a try.
