Does anyone know if KES-496 is swappable with KES-490 laser? Both lasers say they are compatible with CUH-1116A, but my model has got 490 in it. However, I've already ordered 496 laser like a month ago, will arrive in a week or so. But now I'm afraid it won't work. BUT what boosts my hopes is that the 490/496 is even used in some later PS3s, so if it is THAT compatible, this might work.

I can confirm this works. Just replaced a 496 with a 490 lens in a CUH-7016B, works just fine.
