Battery Problems, 3% then shuts off

Hello everyone, I am a slight bit of an Apple groupie, but lately I have had a few minor problems with my iPhone 6s. First it started to bug out and lag, all I would have to do is restart the phone then it seemed to work again. But the. Just the other day my phone would start clicking different places even though my fingers weren’t even near by. Then the phone wouldn’t charge ): It went black for several days until I finally realized that the red battery simbol would show up after several minutes of being charged. The phone will **sometimes** get to 3 percent, looses battery while still plugged in (with authentic apple cord and block) and will then die again. It’s really weird and I can’t use my phone? Thanks for any and all help.

This is due to apple's latest update: iOS 11.1 throttles speed on older batteries https://www.apple.com/iphone-battery-and...

A new battery should fix it!

Alright thanks everyone for the help, I was scrolling around the internet and found a couple more options and it ended up making me speed click with my 1 minute of battery to reset network settings. So far (yesterday/today) it’s been working just as good as new. Again, thanks for all the help guys, it was my first and hopefully only post on this forum but if I ever feel confident enough to answer another users questions I will try to do so. Hopefully I will have no more questions of my own.

You could also restore the settings to default, which will let the phone be faster again. Also performing a format will help (please make sure you backed up your phone before doing this).
