Why will my 04 Sedona not go over 30mph barely pulls hills

My Kia van won't go faster than thirty like there no power there but runs fine shifts fine already checked exhaust

@jimfixer you think could be a plugged converter? @disgusted what did you check on the exhaust? Checked your plugs? What do the plug faces look like?

Compression test performed? What is the fuel and oil consumption like?

It's probably in limp home mode I have same issue, something with the ground wiring or the "mil" being activated. I also have a obd 2 code of p2017

@disgusted Checking exhaust how if the cat is plugged you would need a infrared thermometer to check. There is a host of possible problems and the best way to find out is to check the engine codes . But lets start with the basics is the air filter clean . When was the fuel filter last replaced . Is the van overheating . Is there enough oil in the engine . When you rev the car in neutral does the car seem to hit a spot and wont go any further or does it rev freely . let me know more and I'll help

One more thing you may want to check . Is your traction control system light on . If it is this could be your problem as the TCS could be sensing a tire slip and reducing the power output .
