MacBook suddenly shut down and will not turn back on.

My MacBook suddenly shut down with about 17% battery left. We tried the shift, control, option, power key buttons and held them down simultaneously for 10 seconds. Then plugged in the power cord and hit the power key. The laptop turned back on. We entered our password to log in and it was loading at the bottom. Then it suddenly shut down again. Now we cannot get it to turn back on at all.

Suggestions??

Just to confirm, you cannot turn on your MacBook even with the power cable plugged in?

Correct. The power cord is plugged in and it is lit up green saying 100% charged.

Clean the cooling system, replace the thermal paste, and if you see anything that looks like corrosion or liquid then scrub the board with a toothbrush and 92% alcohol. and if you still have problems you may have to replace the magsafe power adapter and the keyboard with power button. This will be assuming liquid damage is present. Sometimes people are un aware that they have liquid damage. It can happen if a friend spills something on it, liquid is present on the counter, or moisture is somehow present. This will also help with a cooling system issue although in rare times the thermal heatsink has to be replaced.
