Computer will not turn on and does not show charging light

Actual Model: 15-au123cl

The computer was operating as normal this AM but when I plugged in a charging cable for my smartwatch into one of the USB ports it shut down. It will not re-boot and there is no indicator light when plugged in. I have tried different outlets and checked the cord, no problems there. I have tried holding down the power button for 15 seconds (connected and un-connected) with no success. Also tried the same thing holding down the power button and Windows button. Appreciate any help you might be able to offer.

Well sometimes there are such things as coincidences and it doesn't always have to do with what happens at the time of the failure. If no fans are running you are not getting power. Ill be honest my strengths are not with a multi-meter . So I just replace parts and rely on the return policy of the distributor. I would try replacing the ac jack and if that doesn't work I would return the part. My favorite distributor is Amazon and their flexible Amazon prime returns policy. I pay for that service per year. And then if that does not work then I would call it a board issue and if its worth the $100 to send it in I would send it to L2 repair in new york to repair the board. If they cannot fix it then there is no charge.
