My new drive can't be detected

'' I wanted to upgrade to a bigger ssd as my old drive wasn't adiquit , so I bought an adapter and ssd on amazon and they won't work.

I put it in the Mac and go into the disk utility only to see nothing, I bought a second adapter and it still didn't work. I tried it numerous times and it still wouldn't work. I spoke to 3 different apple support people and they didn't help a lot ''

The blade drive made for PCs just don't work in Macs, when they do, they are not reliable. You need to go with an original Apple stick or one put out by OWC.

May your pockets be deep and have a great new year. If you get one with the Envoy enclosure, your set up and data transfer will be much simpler and you will have the old drive for spare storage and an alternative boot drive.
