My hot water dispenser on my GE refrigerator is not working. Fix?

I have a GE Cafe refrigerator with hot water dispenser. When I try to use it, the LCD screen says Hot Water disabled. Anyone have any ideas? I am trying to avoid a service call. I have replaced the filter already.

@guildman9 what model is your refrigerator?

@guildman9 first try to unplug the refrigerator, or turn the breaker off, for 1 minute, then restore power, then attempt to dispense hot water.

Options

You need to enable it. Usually you touch and hold the hot wat button on screen for 3-5 seconds. Or go into the settings on the touch screen. Your owners manual will have that information.
