Data recovery on Android 6.x and above (encrypted)

Hi Community,

Im wondering if anyone knows much about the encryption used in Android 6.x and above?

I am wanting to expand what my business does and was looking into chip off data recovery. I have noticed that Android 6.x and onwards used a full data encryption method.

What I want to know is, can this data still be extracted and decrypted by the user? I want to know if its possible before expanding too far into the recovery world.

Thanks,

AFAIK, these encryption schemes are not breakable from a data recovery perspective. Your best bet is still to "fix the phone" so that you can decrypt the data.

Heres' a good article to read.
