How do I get my printer listed in the start menu's list of programs?

I just bought a Brother Printer - HL-L2315DW series. When I click on the control panel I see it is listed. But it is not listed in the programs when I click on the Start Menu. I would like it listed there so that I can right click on it in order to get an icon to place on my desktop.

This is of course a minor problem but there must be an easy solution to it.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Go to Start/devices and printers/then click on your printer and drag it to the desktop.

My Brother printer is not listed in the Start Menu. If I click on the printer listed in the Control Panel, there is no icon to drag to the desktop. I am using Windows 10. All my other programs are listed in the Start Menu, even the HP printer I used previously.

I finally solved the problem thanks to your suggestions. I was able to click the program in the control panel and then from the drop-down menu select the right choice - place the Brother printer icon on the desktop.

It takes so little to make me happy. Thanks Joe.
