Why is my MacBook Pro is not charging?
I have a Unibody MacBook Pro Mid-2012,
It doesn't seem to charge the battery. The system says "Not Charging", while the battery is plugged in, and it shuts off randomly (10 minutes to 2 hours uptime).
This is quite frustrating, I presumed it was a bad battery, so I ordered a new one. The new battery also didn't charge, however it stopped the random shutdowns, until it drained to 0%, when the same thing happened.
I have tried multiple magsafe adapters, their light is orange for the first second, then turns to green. If I take off the bottom plate I can hear an interval ticking noise near the magsafe port while it's plugged in. I don't believe this is normal. My suspicion is the magsafe board is broken, but I'm not sure.
I have already tried resetting the SMC.
Can anyone else verify the magsafe board is the problem?
Is this a good question?

Lets get some diagnostic info here. Download this gem of an app: CoconutBattery. Then with the MagSafe charger plugged in take a screen capture of the main window so we can see whats happening. Do a second capture with the charger disconnected. Once you have them post them in an answer so we can see whats happening.

The battery is at 0%, I can't take one without the charger, and right now it's shutting off before I can do anything with the charger in. I'm on vacation so I don't have my other charger (It seems to work for longer if I use that charger, it has a higher wattage), so I can't even provide that screenshot for a little while. I will provide that screenshot when possible though.
