iPad mini home button fix

So we have a iPad Mini which have a home button which is not working.

So does it usually fix the problem by swapping the home button?

Or can the problem be somewhere else and which makes the home button not working?

If the problem can be somewhere else than the actual home button then what else can it be?

I dont want to swap the home button if there is a fairly big chance it will not fix the problem.

Odds are pretty good that the issue is with the Home Button, the bracket coming loose or the flex being damaged. The only other option would be logic board but that is unlikely. However, removing an otherwise good digitizer without breaking it can be tricky for a DIY fixer.

Thanks for your answer. Yes i have been removing the digitizer before, i thought the glass screen was the hardest part, especially when the glass was broken.

But is the actual home button hard to replace once one is past all the stuff that needs to be removed first?
