no power up. can it be repaired?

ipod touch 4th gen. 2months old. playing words with friends. sent a word playing wi-fi. friends ipod 1 foot away. searching clock to indicate sending move message held on screen for a minute. then switched off. black screen. no power up, charge or sync link. any ideas?

sim, since the Touch is only 2 months old you should still have warranty on it. I do not think i would just yet try anything to it that may ruin your warranty, send it back and get it fixed by whomever you purchased it from. Just my 2 cents, and of course if you have no warranty and no other options let us know so we can find a solution for you. Good Luck

Just finished replacing screen on ipod touch, to then realize volume rocker not working and power button not responding. What did I do wrong?

I agree with oldturkey, However I would put it on charge with an apple charging cable connected to a computer USB port. I just saw one this A.M. it took about 10 minutes for the computer to recognize the iPod since the battery was so dead.
