Why does my New 3DS XL not power on?

This happened also with my Nintendo 2DS. My Nintendo 3DS says "A error has occurred. Hold down the POWER Button to turn off the power, then turn it on and try again."

I did that and still not working.

Maybe because I put too much liquid. The date was December 17, 2017.

The Nintendo caught up too much dirt and I tried to clean the dirt on the Nintendo.

I also tried to get a screwdriver and it didn't work. The screwdriver kept slipping off the screw that I'm trying to take off from the Nintendo. What screwdriver should I use?

Also, tell me how else I'm supposed to fix my New Nintendo 3DS XL.

Thanks, I would be grateful to know some answers on how to fix it!

PS: I know where the serial number is, but somebody took the sticker out.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

You said you put too much liquid. What kind of liquid did you use? If you don't have a small Philips-head (+ shaped) screwdriver you will never be able to properly unscrew those screws. Don't try to open the console using the wrong bit, you can end up damaging the screws to the point where you won't be able to open them with any tools.

Follow this guide closely to get to the motherboard and make sure it's dry. You can also buy the tools you need on that page.

I don't have that kind of equipment to fix it.

Anything else?

I had a napkin, then put some sink water in it to wipe the dirt out. I squeezed almost all the water out. The touch screen was glitching.

So you need to open it up, clean all water residue with isopropyl alcohol, otherwise there's little chance you will recover it. Water might have gotten to the battery and to other components. Even if you "squeezed almost all the water out" there's still definitely more water in there stuck between components.

You can wait a few days until it maybe dries out, but don't count on that. Water may then leave metal residue on the board causing stuff to short out.
