Console turns up automatically, fan speeds up really high,no ring light

Hello

I had my console for about two weeks ago. Few days ago after finishing playing a game (for about 2 hours) I turned off the console(xbox 360 s) from the Xbox home settings on the controller. The console switched off and automatically came back on. I managed to switch it off with the console's power switch. Later when I tried to switch on the game console, no power.

There was only the beep sound of the power switch and the eject button. Few days later i switched the power cable on, and touched the power button, the console turned on and 4 seconds later it went off. I have tried other several online solution, changing the power brick, checking the USB but no power.

After reading one solution, I decided to open the faceplate and clean/check the power ribbon, if it's okay. I also cleaned the power switch with a cleaning brush. After that when I insert the power cable to the console, I can only hear the power switch beep and the fan of the console turns up automatically, and it goes really high. But there is no light on the power switch. The fun just goes really fast. The game will not start.

Please help.

So the fan is going full speed. is the Xbox actually heating up causing the fan to do that or is the fan just running at full speed for no apparent reason?

by

Leave it for an hour or so (power on) and see what happens. That should fix it if it is doing background downloads if it still does not work, we have that ruled out.

Should the hard drive be in or out?

by

was the harddrive out the whole time you've been having this issue? how long has it been out?

by

I removed it when taking the Xbox apart to take of the face plate, that was yesterday

by

Do you have this issue when the drive is in?
