A common thing with replacement screens is the LCD ribbon cable popping loose.

If that is the case, battery needs to be unplugged when replugging LCD cable.

Did you recently drop it? Could something have come loose? I would plug it in and leave it overnight and see if that works. It could just be very dead.

Also, plug it into a computer, see if it is recognized. Then we can tell if it’s screen or phone.

If that doesn’t work, let me know

Okay so was the phone completely dead when you woke up? Or was it on and the battery was just low? Could there have been any water/liquid damage at all? (This doesnt mean you spilled something or you dropped it, if you take it into the bathroom with you while you shower steam can cause light liquid damage over time.)

It sounds like it could be a battery issue to be honest. When you plug it into the computer, did iTunes recognize it?

It could also be a backlight issue. If you tilt the phone in light or shine a light on the display, do you see a faint image?
