This iPhone won't turn on

This iphone was gifted to me because it was sitting on a drawer for months. I would like to fix it and keep it as my second phone. So, no picture on screen, not detected by iTunes or Device Administrator. Replaced the battery because it's low voltage. Still nothing. I have a multimeter but I don't have an USB consume tester, which some people uses to check shorted boards (I suspected it could be that). Any ideas?

Let's do a quick test, unplug the battery then plug the charger in.

If you get an apple logo on and off, it looks like the charging IC is probably okay.

If you do not get apple logo on and off, charging IC needs to be replaced, as it can't charge batteries under 3.7v or a.k.a flat batteries.

The U2 Tristar Charging IC can only be replaced by people that do micro soldering. You may be able to find one in your area that does this service, for example mobile phone repair shops.

Thank you, actually I tried it and no logo, so I guess you are right. Sounds like an expensive repair so I think I'll just sell it because it's not worth for a 5c. Thanks again mate.
