iPhone recognized in iTunes, but no other signs of life?

I bought a broken iPhone 6 on eBay for the sole purpose of using the logic board to fix my iCloud locked iPhone 6. The phone was extremely damaged, the top 10% or so almost looked shredded. The logic board looked intact, however it slightly bends down on the border of the display connectors and the motherboard, about 20 degrees or so. I installed the logic board, charged it for a while, and it was recognized in iTunes, but I could make out nothing. The phone made no vibrations or noises, and changing the ringer has no effect. The logic board had water damage, the SIM tray indicator was tinged red, so nothing too severe. Is there something else besides the backlight that could be faulty, to cause the phone to be unable to make sound or vibrations?

Thank you in advance for any assistance.

The bend and the liquid damage are big red flags itself. A slight bend could cause the fragile paths of the motherboard to break. Liquid could also cause big issues with the device not showing an image. What I would try is to clean the board with alcohol to rid of any corrosion then rinse the motherboard with distilled water and dish soap, dish soap leaves no residue. If you have a sonic cleaner I'd make use of it. As for the bend I'd try to mend back in place to see if can make reconnections with between the paths.

Word of advice I would just shell out the extra to get a full device since a refurbished iPhone 6 with a warranty is around the same price as a motherboard from a reputable source. With a used motherboard from a broken device could be very problematic and could also be iCloud locked.

I got the motherboard off eBay for just $20. Where I live, it's harder to come across good deals for unlocked phones, the markup and shipping cost are huge.
