I just disassembled my Microsoft 900 mouse.

There are six screws. Two are in the front and two are in the rear under the traction stickers on the bottom of the mouse. Just peel the stickers off. The 4 screws are torx screws, but they can be removed with a small 2mm flat screwdriver.

There are two other Philips screws under the labels in the battery compartment. You can use the same flat screwdriver to remove those too.

Now you can pry the mouse apart with your fingernails.

I did not bother to put back the 4 original torx screws. I think they are overkill for what they are intended to do. If I am wrong, I will put them back

Usually you should be able to twist the plastic bush which holds the rubber ball underneath.then just clean the internal rollers...then replace the ball and cap..the led versions do not need to be disassembled just clean any debris blocking the led signal with a qtip.hope that helps you.
