Hard drive replacement for Mac 21.5 Desktop EMC 2638 (late 2013)

I would like to replace my hard drive with 1 TB or 2 TB hard drive. I have a new SATA WD10ECEX. (1 TB) Will this work? If not, which one should I get. Thank you in advance for your time and help.

Your system only supports 2.5" drives. The WD drive you have is a 3.5" and won't physically fit.

I think you would be much happier with an SSHD or an SSD. See how much storage space you think you need.

Here's the 500GB SSHD [linked product missing or disabled: IF107-098]

Here's the 960GB SSD: Crucial MX500 1 TB SSD
