I replaced my ipod 1st gen digitizer screen. Put it back toghether and it came on but witout sound. So i opened again to check the headphone jack. after putting it back toghether now it won't turn on. I Tunes detects it fine. But it won't turn on. Can somebody help with this?

Miguel, since it came on the first time after you replaced your digitizer but not the second time after you opened it agian. I would disassemble it once more. Make sure that all your connectors are plugged in properly and that they are seated right. Make sure that none of the cables got torn or pulled of. Once you verify that everything is connected the way it is supposed to, let us know how things are progressing.
