Change screen of mac but the lower LCD is dark with shadows

I changed the LCD screen of my MacBook model A1342 bought in September 2010

I successfully receive the panel, but once installed correctly by entering the appropriate video connector lights up the screen with no problems.

Unfortunately the bottom of the screen (with a height of 5cm) has many shadows black and white then that ruins the image. Also the screen brightness appears to have very low even at maximum brightness level.

I therefore ask you how I can fix or if it is possible to have a new screen.

My old monitor was the Samsung, but the new one is LG

How can I do? If you want I can post an image of screen!

Thanks

Bye

Contact iFixit here: http://www.ifixit.com/Info/contact

Request an RMA number, return the screen and get a replacement. Try to get the same model number as the one you removed.

Is the replacement LCD new or used? It sounds like the replacement LCD is bad. I've bought used LCD's on ebay that were not good.

What was wrong with the old LCD. Is good enough you can put it back in and see if has the same result?

I have a spare LCD for an A1181. Let me know if you need it. We can check compatibility.

Thanks for the reply

LCD is new and I bought it in the appropriate section on this site.

I also reinstalled the old LCD, but there are no shadows and the brightness is also much higher than the new one.

Is possible to have the replacement of this screen? I really think it's a manufacturing defect.

Thanks

It looks like the new screen
