3DS XL Got wet and screen doesn't turn on. Sound works but that's it.

My 3ds was in my bag, when, in a separate compartment, a bottle of sparkling water was leaking. Half of the bottle leaked over the course of 20 minutes. I put it in a bag of rice, and after it sat there for a few days, I tried turning it on. It turned on, and the home music started playing, but the screen never turned on. I tried pressing the buttons to navigate the home screen, but I didn't hear any of the sound effects that are usually present. When I close it, the sound stops, like normal, but If I reopen It, the home music doesn't play. The only way to get the music to work again is to hold the power button for 10 seconds, or else it won't turn off, and then turn it on again. It's been about 3 or 4 days since this happened.
