My iPhone 7 Plus has been having microphone issues for a while now. When making a phone call people who claim they can barely hear me unless I put it on speakerphone. I came to the conclusion that the microphone right next to my lightning port on the bottom is bad, so I was just curious what is the part exactly that would need to be replaced to get this situation resolved. Thanks!

The microphone is part of the Lightning Port. You can find the replacement part here and the repair guide here.
It is possible the microphone hole is just filled with lint and fuzz so you will want to check that first.

Yea it’s bad, it’s an constant static sound, sounds terriable, I put my air pods in and it’s crisp clean sound. It uses those bottom mics right? Not the one up by the camera assembly
