Some problems with a DVD drive

Hi, so I bought a used Xbox 360 and it has some I would say mini problems. Like DVD drive sometimes gets stuck, or I wouldn't say this is a big problem but like when you close it the shelf pushes to the right a bit and when it closes it makes a weird crackling sound for a few seconds. So I want to ask, are those problems possible to fix without replacing the drive itself? Might it be because of dust and dirt? Because console is pretty dirty even from outside.

Answer this question I have this problem too

It does sound like dirt or an object is obstructing the DVD drive. The best way to deal with this issue is to open up the system, and take the metal shield off of the DVD drive and check for any objects that may be jammed in the drive. You can carefully use 95% isopropyl alcohol to clean any dirt or debris out. Good luck

-If you need help taking apart the console, check out the guides on here. If you decide to replace the DVD drive, please do remember you have to replace the motherboard too, as the two are paired, so you will need to find the original board to that DVD drive for it to work.
