dryer won't power on

I have a LG electric dryer that won't power on but the interior lights work fine. I've have the thermal fuse and high limit, they were both good, I've also had the door switch and start switch checked, they too were fine. Has anyone had this same problem that could maybe help me out? I would hate to go purchase something that cost alot of money and it not be it. Thanks

@billiejean39 what exact model is your dryer?

DLE2301R,I've looked everywhere on the internet to try n figure this out.

Yes it's a new plug and all was tested, and was fine. The only thing that we have tested n it not register was the thermostat assembly. Can this be bad without the thermal fuse or any of the other thermostats?

Thanks,

Most dryer run on 220 volts. This means in the USA that it is getting two 110 volt lines. Yours sound like it is only getting one 110. First throw the main breaker switch. That failing, test the wall plug and see if both legs are hot. Next use your multimeter to check the continuity of both lines going into the machine.

If it's a fairy new machine, there might be a diagnosis routine you could run. That might give you a code leading to the problem. Also hidden somewhere in the machine is a paper intended for a service person to help troubleshoot service.
