My power won't come back on

I have a Panasonic veira model TC-P50X5. Power went out today and now the TV won't power on, all other electronics came back on. Has this problem once before and it just started working again after 6 months of sitting.

Hi @jtborer ,

Try a power reset and see if it resolves the problem.

Remove the TV power cord from the power outlet, then press and hold the TV's power On/Off button for 30 seconds and then release the button.

Plug the TV power cord back into the power outlet, switch on the outlet and then switch on the TV and see if it powers on and turns on.

Update (12/10/2017)

Hi @jtborer ,

The power board may have been affected by the disruption of the power.

Disconnect the power from the TV and then remove the back off the TV.

Inspect the boards for swollen or blown capacitors or other obviously faulty looking components

If you have any doubts about a component post some pictures back here and I'm sure someone will help.
