The I pod only works when plugged into the charger
iPod only works when plugged into charger, battery indicator shows battery fully charged any ideas please. This is an 80 GB model.

Regardless of what your battery indicator shows, I'd still change the battery first. Relative easy fix and inexpensive, then you have a good starting point since you will know that the battery is good. Good Luck and let us know how it is going.
