Charging port casing or Charging port hardware?

My computer won't charge except at 'random' times and it doesn't stay charging in the rare instances it does charge when I plug in the cord. The cord looks fine but I have no other computers to test it on. My charging port does have some damage but seemingly only the the plastic around the port, like part of the literal plastic has come off, maybe a fourth of the circle around the port in the upper left corner. The port inside looks fine if not a little slanted, like it has moved. I am wondering it in Fixit's opinion if you think this seems like a charging port repair is needed or if there is some McGyver-esque contraption that could be used to keep the port in place and therefore make it work.

Answer this question I have this problem too
