Can I replace my A1151 Display Card

I'm using mbp17" with Radeon X1600? But recently the picture on my screen always crack and some "colorful" lines always display on my screen. And the main problem is my mbp always hang..... I guess its something related to the display card.

So how can I replace it?

The hanging is most likely a separate issue and software related. Start up from your system installation disk by inserting the disk and starting up holding down the “C” key. Go to the second screen pull down menu to Utilities -> Disk Utilities. Select your hard drive icon on the left and run the repair program until it runs clear. That should stop your “hanging”. To isolate your video problem hook your mac up to an external monitor and see if the problem persists. If it does, then it’s most likely the GPU (graphics processor). This is integrated into the logic board and requires a logic board repair by someone like DT&T Services. http://www.dttservice.com/macbookprosilv...

If the problem is gone then it’s isolated to the display area.

I'm using 10.6.6 right now, but I've lost the disc, I only got a 10.4 installation disc and a 10.6 installation flash drive from my new Macbook Air, can I use either one for them to do the repair?

The 10.4 disk Utilities may work. The flash drive will not install a system as it is machine specific but it might run Disk Utilities, I just don't know and would like to.
