Not Just Another Backlight Problem! (this one is funky) Please HELP!

Hi all.. $^&$ this has really got me riled!

A1150 mbp .. no backlight .. replaced cable, inverter, screen and then finally smartened up and tested outputs to the inverter on the logic. i get 12v on the first pin but then nothing else. Seems that the dim control is not working? i have read post about a fuse somewhere but havent been able to find. Wondering if any of you guys have one of these opened up so you can measure outputs to the invert to let me know if i am really not getting what i think i need .. cant find any post with that info. Also anyone with anyhelp before i have order a mobo would be greatly appreciate.. i might just run a jumper to the lead if i can to get the inverter fired up! thanks

I am not the Mac expert, well not even a novice, but here is a pretty good discussion and some voltage values that might be of interest to your issue http://www.asklaptopfreak.com/laptop-not...

Hook it up to an external monitor to test the GPU, lets see if we can figure out what the problem is before replacing a lot of parts. Can you see the desktop using a flashlight at an angle? How reliable was your parts source?
