My Iphone 4 is telling me my phone needs to cool down for 2 weeks now and will not let me use the phone until it cools. The Phone otherwise is fine(Screen/Tounch Sensor and i can make emergency calls(999). Anyone know what i can do? Apple say the can fix it for €200.

GlennM, by now your phone should have cooled down:-) anyhow I would try to reset the phone by pushing the sleep/wake button at the top right of the device and the home button at the same time. Hold them both until you see the screen go black and the white Apple logo appear. Once this happens the iPhone is rebooting. If that should not resolve your problem, I'd take it back to Apple since your phone is hopefully still under warranty. Good Luck.

this is apparently a common fault with iphone 4. It should be replaced under warranty by either your phone provider or apple!

Glenn.If your phone is under warranty take it back to Apple, unless it has suffered liquid damage.If not; I would start by taking the phone completely apart and letting it sit for at least 8 full hours, but make sure the phone is disconnected from any power source. Disconnect the battery from the Logic Board. Once you do that, and the phone has been disconnected from power for a few hours, try assembling the phone again and keep your fingers crossed. Good Luck!

If his phone got wet, he'll need to repair since Apple won't replace a phone with water damage.
