Antenna not clicking into place while reassembling

HI,

I have replaced my lightening connector assembly, and when I'm trying to press the antenna into place it doesn't seem to "click" into position. It visually looks OK. It is step 35 of the the guide (iPhone 6s Lightning Connector Assembly Replacement).

I have tried connecting the antenna from the old lightening assembly to it which doesn't connect. This leads me to believe it is the logic board is the issue.

Any suggestions appreciated. Thank you in advance

Update (12/02/2017)

***Correction. I can get the old one to click in. So I think it could be something wrong with the new antenna connection, or the antenna cable length is slightly shorter making it extremely difficult to connect. Has anyone had any experience with this?

It does happen sometimes that the circular connector on the Antenna wire is "not so circular" anymore. that would certainly make it hard to snap into place. The problem with circles though is that once they are out of shape, it is very difficult to get them round again.

Take a look at the connector under magnification to see if it is in good condition. You could always take out the speaker to have more room to manoeuvre the connection. Once it fits in nicely, you can put the speaker back.
